Filmmaker-actor-host-designer-judge, Karan Johar is a man with many talents. But one that has easily stood out in recent times is his ability to take a joke on himself. While his recent disapproval towards a mimicry artist of himself on television might not be the best example, it is probably the only time he might have taken offence. Whether it is on his chat show 'Koffee With Karan' or voluntarily taking part on roast shows, the filmmaker sure knows how to take a dig at himself. While he humbly takes jokes on himself, he also knows how to give it back when the occasion arises.

When Farah Khan and Abhishek Bachchan gave perfect responses to his 'sex' questions:

For several seasons, Kara Johar has been known to pry into the personal lives of his guests. From their past to current relationships to even their sex life, Karan sometimes fails to draw the boundary. Many seasons ago when Karan's close friends Abhishek and Farah came on the show, who are also known for their wit put the host in his place for his 'sex' related questions. When Karan asked Farah about her sex life, Farah said, 'Let's observe a moment of silence". "Is it that bad?' asks Karan adding "For your sex life?"

"And for yours too," says Farah and Abhishek in unison.

"For yours we will have to stand for the whole show," hit back Farah which left Karan speechless.

When Celebs roasted Karan Johar's show

While Koffee With Karan is one of the most popular chat shows visited by celebrities, it also landed celebrities in trouble for opening up. This led to celebs not being fans of the show and have expressed the same during their appearances. In one season, when Ranbir and Ranveer Singh shared the couch, they warn Karan to stay within limits. Ranveer was seen telling Karan that he would throw a shoe at him if he crosses any line with his questions. When Karan asked if this is the way he would treat a senior filmmaker, Ranveer promptly responded with, "Then behave like a senior".

Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, and Aamir Khan have also expressed their dislike for the show in front of Karan Johar.

Karan gets roasted by his twins:

The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' director, wrote on the video, "I have been roasted". The video begins with the kids asking ‘What Jhumka, dada?". To which KJo says, "What Jhumka? Even I don't know. Shall we ask Alia didi?"

His kids then start singing the ‘Baby Shark' song abruptly cutting down what KJo says. The director-producer then says, "Oh you prefer that song?" as his kids say yes in unison. KJo then ends the video as he says, "Oh God! Okay, toodles".

Karan's kids have also roasted him for his clothes, hair style and even his singing.

Kareena Kapoor shuts down Karan Johar:

Kareena and Karan go way back and that comfort between the two can be seen when they appear together on a show.

What history?

During the last season, Karan dug up Kareena's old rift with Ameesha Patel. He asked why she was not at Gadar 2's success party and asked if Ameesha was the reason. Ameesha featured in Kaho Na...Pyaar Hai owing to Kareena leaving the film. "What history? The only history I know is her movie created history," said Kareena slyly avoiding stirring up an controversy.

When Karan further asked her the reason for missing the party, Kareena asked him, "Were you there at the party?" He said yes. To which Bebo replied, "Oh yeah, you are at every party. Shaadi, sangeet, success party, etc."

Pouts and selfies:

On the same episode, when Kareena called Alia her favourite, Karan joked, "Aren't you your own favourite?' she said, "Apart from me I have to like other people right. So I like Alia." Talking about being one's own favourite, a segment in the audience vibe check, Kareena was perceived to find it horrifying to spend a year with a pout picture. However, Karan said that Kareena does not click pout pictures, to which, she said that Karan takes more pout selfies than her these days. "I think these days, with that backdrop of your terrace, Balenciaga Sweatshirts and Givenchy and this and that you. Everybody is going crazy. I am only firing him by sending messages saying, what are you doing? I am unfollowing you now if you continue this, your photoshoots from the top angle with those bada glasses."
