In order to cater to the tastes of non-Indian audiences in the US, makers of My Name Is Khan have decided to shorten the film. MNIK's editor Deepa Bhatia has been entrusted with the responsibility of making the film more palatable to Western audiences. However, the songs will not be chopped, as the makers have received favourable feedback from the US market about the songs and how much the audiences there have loved them.
The film's star, Shah Rukh Khan, believes that cutting the film would extend its life span in the market. Right now, Bhatia is yet to decide on which scenes will go.
