Priyanka Chopra will co-star with Katrina Kaif in Anurag Basu's film Khamoshi. The film, which has Ranbir Kapoor playing a deaf and mute character, will also have Priyanka playing a mentally challenged girl. Apparently, Priyanka loved the role the minute she heard it and immediately agreed to do the film, even though her character makes her entry only post-interval. This will be Priyanka's second film with Ranbir, after Anjaana Anjaani.
Priyanka and Katrina have also signed Shrishti Arya's next film, a remake of Bride Wars. However, Katrina is unhappy that she will be sharing the spotlight with another actress in Khamoshi, especially since she had turned down Imtiaz Ali's film Rockstar just so she could work in Anurag's film. Meanwhile, Anurag is busy working out Priyanka's dates as she is also scheduled to shoot for Farhan Akhtar's Don 2 this year.
