Singer Shibani Kashyap will be shooting for a music video called Alvida on January 19 a tribute to the victims who lost their lives during the 26/11 terrorist attacks.

A lot to think about

Talking about the video, which will be shot in Sankraman Studios, Shibani says, "The song aired on many radio channels within a month of the attacks.

Alvida, which has been written by Viraf Mishra (had written the lyrics of Zinda Hoon Main) has been composed and sung by me. It's a tribute to the victims of the 26/11 attacks.

I thought of the song when I was stuck at home for three days and had a lot to think about."

Shibani adds that the video will appear first on CNN-IBN on the programme India Rocks on January 26. "After that, I want it to be aired on every channel on the 26th of every month. We keep forgetting. It's important not to forget. The video will keep the memories alive."

The song Alvida is saying goodbye to the people we lost, taking stock and moving on. The song begins like this Alvida, woh chali jaan badan se juda, muft mein lut gaye aye khuda... Alvida... alvida... alvida."

The NGO Diyadeep, which supports orphans, has helped Shibani bring out the video. Wizemind produced it while ad filmmaker Pradipto Nandy is directing it. They are not charging money for it.

Film log kyun nahi?

Though Shibani approached many of her celebrity friends like Mini Mathur, Gaurav Gera, Rahul Roy, Mona Singh, Sandhya Mridul, Ronit Roy and others to sing a line each in the video, she's hesitant to approach film actors.

She says, "I'd love to have a film actor sing a line in the video but I would be very disappointed if they turned me down."
