Amitabh Bachchan
If you've scrolled through Amitabh Bachchan's social media feed, it's hard to miss his love for animals. Recently, the megastar had introduced us to his "co-star" from the set of Goodbye, as he shared pictures of him playing with a Labrador and a puppy. Now, the veteran actor - who contributed significantly during the second wave of the pandemic to help those in need - has rallied behind the feeding of strays. Taking a cue from Varun Dhawan, Bipasha Basu, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma who have thrown their weight behind the cause, Bachchan made a video, highlighting the need to ensure the welfare of our four-legged friends.
Arun Seshkumar, who is directing the latest season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, familiarised him with the work of I Luv Mumbai Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that has been caring for and feeding strays in pockets of Mumbai, including Bandra, Andheri, Goregaon and Powai. "Earlier this week, while shooting for KBC, Bachchan sir handed Arun a self-made video that has him applauding the organisation's noble initiative," says a source.
Rahul N Kanal, Yuva Sena leader and president, I Luv Mumbai, says the megastar's support gives a huge impetus to their programme. "Arun happened to share with Mr Bachchan what we have been doing since the lockdown, and he was amazed. When the legend supports your cause, what more can you ask for?"
