Janhvi Kapoor and her rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya were seen at the Mumbai airport yesterday. While they entered the airport premises separately, the paparazzi spotted them meeting inside after the security check. That the duo has been a couple has been the talk of the town for a while. Their public appearances often fuel this speculation. They previously visited the Tirumala temple in Tirupati. Although it was then suggested that they were engaged, a source, reportedly close to the actor, was quick to debunk the rumours. On the work front, Kapoor who was last seen in Bawaal, opposite Varun Dhawan, will now be seen in Mr and Mrs Mahi, opposite Rajkummar Rao. She also has Devara with Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan in the pipeline.

After teasing fans about a project in the pipeline, Salman Khan revealed that his "little piece of heart", is his niece, Alizeh Agnihotri. He shared pictures with Alizeh - daughter of his sister Alvira Khan and husband Atul Agnihotri - from the photo shoot of his clothing brand. "Genes mein hai love and care. We are just being us," he wrote.
Tahir Raj Bhasin, who had an eventful 2022 with three back to back releases, is gearing up for his next project - Sultan of Delhi, directed by Milan Luthria. The actor credits the directors he has worked with for enabling him to pull off diverse roles. "Great directors push you out of your comfort zone and that often leads to the magic [we see on screen]. I have always tried to be an actor who the biggest directors can count on to deliver a powerful performance. My acting is my only calling card because I don't have anyone backing me."
Karan Wahi and Maanvi Gagroo will be seen in the streaming romantic comedy, Half Love, Half Arranged. The show promises to offer a fresh perspective on love and arranged dating. In the show, Gagroo essays the role of a millennial gynaecologist named Riya Tanwar, who knows what she wants in her partner. However, an unexpected turn of events lead her to embark on a pursuit to find her Mr Perfect through modern atchmaking. Talking about the project, Wahi said, "Rom-coms have always been a favourite genre. We are presenting a unique perspective with a twist on traditional marriage and modern matchmaking. Women will relate to the character of Riya, and the situations she finds herself in. We have tried to address the untouched topic of arranged matchmaking in an Indian family."
After heading to Cannes with his film, Kennedy, Anurag Kashyap is back doing the festival rounds, this time with Chaar Chappalein, a non-feature film that will make its Asian premiere at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. Starting on October 27, the festival will also feature films like Vikramaditya Motwane's Indi(r)a's Emergency, Kashyap's Kennedy, and Tahira Kashyap Khurrana's Sharmajee ki Beti. Kennedy will screen in the out-of-competition Gala Premieres section that showcases Indian films with an ensemble cast. Berlin, by Atul Sabharwal, and Tahira's movie, will be screened in this section as well. Over 250 films will be screened.
Martin Scorsese was just a boy when he first saw Satyajit Ray's Pather Panchali, and it was from that point on that cinema opened to him "many different worlds". Scorsese says, decades later, he drew from that experience for his new film, Killers of the Flower Moon. "I wonder what it would be like to be a colonised person and a wide part of a colonised world that you live in," he said in response to questions on whether his film will resonate in countries like India with a colonial past. The 80-year-old said he saw a dubbed English version of Pather Panchali on television in New York. "[I was] introduced to another way of thinking."
Aarya, starring Sushmita Sen, is set to return with its third season on November 3. The International Emmy-nominated show will explore the profound power of the titular character, played by Sen. Talking about the show, she said: "Aarya Sareen has now become a very integral part of my life. Her experiences across seasons have touched my heart. This season explores the profound power of Aarya, as she strikes down her enemies and begins to create an empire of her own, while grappling with the threats to her loved ones."
Renowned Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan's Canada tour has been postponed in the wake of the India-Canada diplomatic row, the promoters of the show have announced. As part of the Akhiyaan Udeekdiyan tour, Maan was supposed to perform four shows on October 22, October 28, October 29 and October 31 in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and Winnipeg, respectively. Gurjit Bal Productions, the banner behind Mann's Canada tour, shared a post on its Facebook page and said new dates will be announced soon.
