Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath watched Kangana Ranaut's Tejas, amid reports that the film's lacklustre performance had been compelling theatre owners to cancel shows. The special screening of the action thriller, directed by Sarvesh Mewara, was held at Lucknow's Lokbhavan Auditorium. Ranaut shared a series of pictures from the film's screening on social media. "Today, [I] hosted a screening of Tejas, a film based on a martyr's life, for honourable Chief Minister @myogiadityanath ji. As you can see in the first picture, Maharaj ji couldn't hold back his tears in the last monologue," the actor captioned the image. In a separate post, Ranaut said Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand, also attended the show. Tejas stars Ranaut in the titular role of an Indian Air Force pilot.

The Parekh family is back at work and is set to make fans laugh again. The makers of Khichdi 2 released the trailer for the film yesterday. It shows cast members Supriya Pathak, Rajeev Mehta, Anang Desai, JD Majethia and Vandana Pathak reprising their popular roles. Farah Khan and Pratik Gandhi join the family to help them in their endeavour of humouring the audience with this November 17 release.
Karan Kundrra, who is set to host the upcoming reality dating show, Temptation Island India, asserted that reality shows help individuals "evolve". "I fell head over heels in love on a reality show. I got to know about myself. A show like this will help these couples explore the intricacies of relationships. Love and lust are part of human behaviour, and this show will help them better understand their emotions." Kundrra started dating Tejasswi Prakash on Bigg Boss.
Oscar-winning Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, known for films such as Birdman and The Revenant, was keen to work with Irrfan Khan, says director Mira Nair who had suggested the actor's name to the filmmaker. According to Nair, Inarritu was looking for an Indian actor for one of his projects and happened to ask her for a recommendation.
"When I had visited him [Irrfan], he was really ailing, but still fighting. My other friend, the great filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu had said, âI'm really looking for this Indian everyman'. I said, there are many, but there's one great one. And it was going to be Irrfan. But such is life," the director, 66, said during a session at an ongoing film festival.

Moosewala, an iconic figure in the international Punjabi music scene, rose to stardom as his lyrics and themes resonated deeply with the youth across the world.
