Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh
Buzz in B-Town is that after parting ways with YRF's talent management division, Ranveer Singh is in advanced talks with The Collective (previously known as KWAN), which also manages wife Deepika Padukone's work. However, it is being said that he will not sign up with the agency exclusively. Moreover, he will be represented by a different team that is not managing her. Interestingly, the Gully Boy actor will be open to any movie or endorsement deal that another agency brings, and if things work out, he will pay them for their services. There is also a possibility of the actor hiring a personal manager while a set of agencies get him work, with The Collective handling the primary responsibilities. Incidentally, Ranveer is believed to be looking at deals similar to the ones Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan have with Reshma Shetty's Matrix. It's another thing that the Jayeshbhai Jordaar actor will collaborate with YRF whenever a suitable project comes up.

Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan has run into a controversy. Tamil producer Manickam Narayanan has alleged that Atlee's directorial venture has been plagiarised from his 2006 film, Perarasu, which stars Vijaykanth in a double role as twin brothers. Jawan reportedly has SRK playing father and son. The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) is expected to investigate Manickam's accusations this week. Incidentally, Atlee has reportedly been accused of copying from other films quite a few times before.
While on the topic, we have some information on why Parineeti Chopra parted ways with YRF's talent management division. Sources claim that the Saina actor, who opted out before Ranveer Singh, wasn't too happy with the way her career was being managed. Apparently, she had often voiced her displeasure over the way other actors were being given prominence with better work and deals. While the management team reportedly reasoned with her to allay her doubts, it seems Parineeti wasn't too excited by the results over the last few years. Sources say that after sensing in recent months that the situation isn't likely to turn in her favour, the Code Name Tiranga actor thought it would be best to move on.

The recent spate of successes witnessed by south Indian films has got Bollywood thinking about its storytelling. At a recent event, Varun Dhawan conceded that the Hindi film industry can learn to make better cinema from its southern counterparts. "If movies like KGF: Chapter 2, Vikram and Kantara are doing so well, we should seek inspiration from them, and try and work with each other," said Varun, whose next, Bhediya, will also release in Tamil and Telugu. When asked about the filmmakers he would love to collaborate with, Varun reportedly replied, "If Lokesh Kanagaraj [director of Vikram and Kaithi] offered me a role, then 100 per cent I'd love to do a Tamil film with him. If [SS] Rajamouli or [Shankar] offers you a film, why will you not do it?"
Talking about Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, another piece of news is that Ridhi Dogra is the newest member of the cast. Known for her performance in TV shows like Savitri and web series like Asur, she has bagged a pivotal part in the movie that also features Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra and Vijay Sethupathi, besides having important cameos by Deepika Padukone and Thalapathy Vijay. Reportedly, Ridhi recently shot her portions during the Chennai and Mumbai schedules. A role in Jawan is a dream come true for Ridhi, who is a big fan of SRK. Interestingly, this marks her second big project, after Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.
Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha's romantic film Khushi, initially slated to release this Christmas, has now been deferred to next year. The leading man recently shared that they have completed 60 per cent of the shoot and the release has been pushed ahead due to a couple of reasons which he didn't wish to reveal. Incidentally, Sam, who has revealed that she is suffering from Myositis, an autoimmune muscular condition, will begin filming her next web series, Citadel, next month. While her sci-fi thriller Yashoda arrives this Friday, Shaakunthalam is being readied to also release in 3D next year.
Pooja Hegde, who suffered a ligament injury a couple of weeks ago, is on the road to recovery. However, she didn't let that deter her. The actor, who will be next seen in Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, shared that she is continuing her treatment even on the set. Alongside a picture of herself dipping her leg in a bucket of hot water at her home, Pooja wrote, "What my mornings look like now⦠#roadtorecovery #comingback stronger (sic)." In the picture, one can see the medical boot the Radhe Shyam actor uses along with a walker to help her move out and about.
