In the pictures, Preity was dressed in an ethnic ensemble in deep hues of crimson, possibly during Karva Chauth festivities. Standing next to her is John dressed in a striped grey suit. The close relationship the two shared could be seen in how they stood close together, hands interlocked.
Preity Zinta penned an emotional note remembering the tender relationship she shared with Jon. She posted on how the marriage was a beautiful union between two cultures, and the bond she shared with Jon was akin to one a daughter would share with her father by birth. She wrote, "Dear Jon, I will miss your warmth, your kindness & most of all your incredible sense of humor. I loved going shooting with you, loved cooking your favourite Indian dishes, and having conversations on every topic under the sun. Thank you so much for opening your home & your heart to me & my family ð The East Coast will never be the same without you. I know you are at peace right now & at a happy place. Rest in peace ð #RIP #RIPJonSwindle #fatherinlaw #Omshanti."
