Zoya Akhtar's The Archies promises to be the perfect film to spread festive cheer. With fresh talents like Dot, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, Yuvraj Menda, Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor headlining the musical, the audience is excited to spend December 7 in Riverdale, virtually. Considering the fact that The Archies is a musical, the audience can expect a range of fantastic songs. Two of them have been released already and are being loved by all.
The Archies is just a few days away from its release and upping the excitement, Arijit Singh treated his fans to a glimpse of his song, titled In Raahon Mein, from the film. At his recent concert in Abu Dhabi, he performed a small piece for a live audience ahead of its official release. Arijit said at the concert, "By the way, this has not released. This is the first time I'm singing this on stage."

The first song to be released was Sunoh, which introduced the characters of The Archies. It is composed by Ankur Tewari and The Islanders. Talking about the song, Ankur said in a statement, "The music of 'The Archies' is a heartfelt tribute to the timeless rock and roll era, a sonic journey that captures the spirit of a musical revolution. Through our compositions, The Islanders and I, aimed to resurrect the electric energy and vibrant rhythms of that iconic period, offering listeners a chance to relive the magic of a musical era that remains etched in the hearts of generations."
Va Va Voom was the second song and it is composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy.
The Archies is based on the popular comic, Archie. Set in the '60s, the film is about Archie Andrews (Agastya Nanda), Betty Cooper (Khushi Kapoor), Veronica Lodge (Suhana Khan), Ethel Muggs (Dot), Jughead Jones (Mihir Ahuja), Reggie Mantle (Vedang Raina) and Dilton Doiley (Yuvraj Menda). They study at a high school in Riverdale. As they navigate through love and friendship, the bunch of teenagers have to protect and save their beloved Green Park, which is the oxygen of Riverdale.
The Archies releases on Netflix on December 7, 2023.
