The couple tied the knot in April this year after dating for five years. As soon as Alia made the pregnancy announcement, she received a lot of love, but was also subjected to some trolling. In a note shared on her Instagram stories, Bhatt criticised articles claiming that her actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor will be travelling to the UK, where she is filming her Hollywood debut 'Heart of Stone', to bring her back home. “Nothing has gotten delayed! No one needs to pick anyone up. I’m a woman, not a parcel. I do not need to rest at all, but good to know you’ll have a doctor’s certification as well,” the actor wrote
One look at Alia's Instagram feed post the announcement will tell you that the 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' star is all about work. Her first post after the big baby announcement was a glimpse into her time in the UK where she was shooting for the film 'Heart Of Stone'.
In the following post, Alia shared some stunning pictures of herself posing in a lovely pink dress which she donned for the first episode of Karan Johar's 'Koffee With Karan 7'. The actress shot for the episode in May, a month after her wedding. She was accompanied by her 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' co-star Ranveer Singh on the couch. On the show, Alia spoke about her wedding and how Ranbir proposed to her. Meanwhile, Ranveer and Alia's upcoming film directed by Karan has been delayed as the team is yet to shoot a song featuring Alia. The song will be shot after Alia delivers her baby
Soon after, Alia treated fans to the first glimpse of her upcoming film 'Darlings'. The film which will be released on Netflix also stars Shefali Shah, Roshan Matthew, and Vijay Verma. The film also marks the debut of Alia's production house Eternal Sunshine Productions. Alia dropped the teaser and posters of the film on social media
The actress also wrapped up the shoot of Heart of Stone and shared a picture with Gal Gadot. "Heart of Stone - you have my wholeeeeeee heart. Thank you to the beautiful @gal_gadot .. my director Tom Harper … @jamiedornan missed you today .. and WHOLE team for the unforgettable experience. I will be forever grateful for the love and care I received and I can’t wait for you all to see the film," Alia wrote announcing the film wrap
Alia is also awaiting the release of 'Brahmastra' on September 9. The actress had gone live on Instagram on July 17, Sunday along with Ayan Mukerji to release the first track of the film- the much anticipated 'Kesariya' in 5 Indian languages
