While the box office numbers of the year has not been impressive, there are some who have tried to revive the movie business. One of them this year is Pushpa 2. The film will soon enter the 1000 cr club and could be the fastest Indian film to achieve the feat. As we wait for the film to join the club, we look at past films that achieved the milestone

Pathaan (2023)

The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer marked his return to the movies after a gap of four years. The film that also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham earned Rs 1050.8cr worldwide gross

Dangal (2016)

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Sakshi Tanwar. The film earned Rs 2051 cr worldwide gross

Kalki 2898 AD (2024) 

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas and Kamal Haasan. The pan-India film earned Rs 1052.5 cr

Jawan (2024) 

Directed by Atlee, the film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani. The film earned Rs 1152 cr

RRR (2022) 

Directed by SS Rajamouli, the period drama stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt. The film earned Rs 1288 cr worldwide gross

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) 

The pan-India films directed by SS Rajamouli stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty in the lead. The film earned Rs 1814 cr worldwide gross

K.G.F- Chapter 2 (2022) 

Directed by Prashant Neel, the film stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon. The Kannada language made history for the industry by earning Rs 1208 cr 

Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024)

The film directed by Sukumar has already become the highest opening film with worldwide gross of Rs 294 cr. The film crossed Rs 800 cr in just four days and is soon expected to join the 1000 cr club
