The world lost a 'Friend' on Saturday. The shocking news of Matthew Perry death sent shockwaves and people are still wrapping their heads around the fact that humour and sarcasm won't remain the same after his demise. Popularly known for playing Chandler Bing in the iconic television show, Friends, Matthew was 54 years old.
According to reports, Matthew allegedly breathed his last in a hot tub at a Los Angeles area home on Saturday. The exact cause is yet to be determined. While the investigation continues, the actor's last picture on Instagram made fans emotional.
In his final picture, Matthew was seen relaxing in a hot tub. Reportedly, it was the same tub in which he lost his life. The picture was shared on October 23, 2023. The caption read, "Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I'm Mattman."

According to a report in TMZ, the Friends actor returned home after a 2-hour session of pickleball and sent his assistant out on an errand. However, when the assistant returned after reportedly 2 hours, he discovered Matthew unresponsive and raised an alarm by calling 911.
As per the TMZ report, law enforcement sources informed the publication that Matthew was found Saturday at a Los Angeles area home where he appeared to have drowned. The report further stated that first responders rushed over on a call for cardiac arrest. Further details on the reason behind the untimely demise are yet to be disclosed.
Apart from Friends, Matthew acted in TV shows like The West Wing, Scrubs, Ally McBeal, Boys Will Be Boys, Growing Pains and more. He also did comedy films, including Fools Rush In, The Whole Nine Yards and 17 Again. While he reduced his on-screen appearances, Matthew was seen in a TV mini-series in 2017.
In 2021, he reunited with his Friends co-stars David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow to film a reunion show, where they all reflected on their time on the show.
Matthew had shocked them by admitting how much pressure he felt being funny on the sitcom. He shared, "At least to me, I felt like I was going to die if they didn't laugh. It's not healthy for sure but I would sometimes say a line and they wouldn't laugh and I would sweat and just go into convulsions if I didn't get the laugh I was supposed to get. I would freak out."
