Kim Taehyung and IU in the Love Wins All music video
BTS member Kim Taehyung and Korean singer IU have paired up for the music video of the latter's new single, Love Wins All. The highly-anticipated music video for IU's upcoming single was released on Tuesday evening (IST). The song is entirely sung by IU (real name Lee Ji-eun), and V only features as a fellow actor in the video.
Directed by 'Concrete Utopia' director Um Tae Hwa, the music video for 'Love Wins All' tells a heartbreaking story of a couple on the run as they fight to survive in a post-apocalyptic future. The music video is a short, dystopian science-fiction thriller film. IU and Taehyung are a couple on the run from the antagonist, a killer robot shaped like a cube or box.
The video is full of heart-rending as well as emotional scenes as these two stars play a couple who are fighting extreme odds in a destroyed world to keep themselves, and their love, alive. There are scenes of their wedding, as well as that of V's desperate attempt to protect themselves from the killer cube. One particularly touching moment is when the two are seen taking pictures in a photo booth, their expressions a mix of happiness, love, and a touch of melancholy.
BTS ARMY are elated to see the singer back in his actor avatar. V has previously acted in the K-drama Hwarang, while IU has starred in many shows, besides being one of the most successful singers in South Korea.
