The trailer of Shehnaaz Gill, Diljit Dosanjh and Sonam Bajwa's new Punjabi romantic comedy was released today. The film has been directed by Amarjit Singh Saron, and Diljit is making his debut as producer.
The hilarious trailer starts with Diljit and Shehnaaz, a married couple, on a dinner date, where we learn that Shehnaaz doesn't want to have kids. However, we see in the trailer that she ends up getting pregnant and after a messy divorce, surrenders custody of the child to Diljit. The story revolves around an endearing, funny journey of a father and his son named 'Honsla', and how the pair make their way in life. Needless to say, there's Sonam Bajwa who manages to steal Diljit's heart, and Shehnaaz, who makes a sudden appearance back into the father-son's life.

The team was scheduled to shoot a promotional song on September 15, however, after Sidharth Shukla's death on September 2, the makers postponed the shoot as Shehnaaz couldn't make it. Speaking about Shehnaaz going back on set for the song, co-producer Daljit Thind told The Times of India, "We are waiting for her to recover and heal from the grave loss. We had originally planned to shoot the song on September 15 in London, but that couldn't happen because of obvious reasons. We will finalise a new date soon and would want Shehnaaz to be a part of it, too, as she is an integral part of the film. I am in touch with her manager and hoping that she will contact us in a few days."
'Honsla Rakh' is scheduled for worldwide release on October 15, 2021.
