Lok Sabha Elections 2024: 'Animal' actress Rashmika Mandanna recently travelled using Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu bridge in Mumbai. She took to her Instagram page and urged her followers to vote for development heaping praise on the infrastructure marvel that was built in a span of seven years and helped reduce travel time from two hours to twenty minutes.
She can be heard saying in the video, "Look outside. What do you see? If you're still just seeing a sea bridge, then knock knock, open your eyes, bro. Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, Bharat's longest-ever sea bridge. 22 kilometers long, 6 lanes. It cuts 2 hour's journey to just 20 minutes. Unbelievable, right? Could someone have imagined this a few years ago? This is the knock on those closed doors, which used to say, India can't dream big. But, but, but, we built this majestic marvel in just 7 years. It is not just a bridge, it is a guarantee for a young Bharat. Our nation is unstoppable now. Wake up and vote for development."

The project consists of an approximately 22 km long 6-tier (3+3-lane, 2 emergency lane) bridge connecting Shivdi in Mumbai city and Nhava on the mainland. The link will feature interchanges at Sewri in Mumbai and Shivaji Nagar, Jassi, and Chirle on National Highway 4B at the Navi Mumbai end. The project-affected persons have been rehabilitated and the fishermen whose livelihoods have been affected by the implementation of the project have been compensated per government policies.
Talking about Rashmika's work front, she has officially announced her collaboration with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the much-anticipated action thriller 'Sikandar'. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film is set to release next Eid.
The actress will next be seen in Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film will feature Allu Arjun and Fahad Faasil in prominent roles. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, the film will be released on August 15, 2024. Rashmika Mandanna will also be seen in 'Kubera', which stars Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Jim Sarbh. 'Kubera' is all set to release in theatres on December 31 this year.
