The release of a film starring a superstar like Pawan Kalyan always triggers immense euphoria among fans. With his nephew, Sai Dharam Tej, sharing the screen in the film 'BRO', the excitement reached unprecedented levels. Despite mixed reviews, the box office collections for the movie soared, proving the undying devotion of Pawan Kalyan's fans.
However, this excitement took an unfortunate turn when a group of the actor's ardent followers got arrested for causing damage during one of the film's screenings. In a display of 'adoration' known as 'milk abhishekham', the fans poured milk on the theater screen, leading to its destruction. Such incidents are not uncommon, as fans of various other big stars have also faced arrests in the past for causing havoc in theaters.
The incident unfolded at the Soundarya Theater in Parvathipuram, Andhra Pradesh. 'Milk abhishekham' involves pouring milk on cutouts of beloved stars, and now this ritual has extended to theater screens, a testament to the demi-god status that top Telugu and Tamil cinema actors enjoy.
The unfortunate incident occurred on July 28, 2023, when the milk pouring caused the screen to tear, forcing the movie to halt. Consequently, the police had to step in to control the situation. Videos capturing the incident spread like wildfire across social media, showing the fans wearing torn clothes in the aftermath.

As the fans were arrested and placed in police vehicles, emotions ran high, with one of them caught sobbing on camera. It is evident from the shared videos that the fans had no idea their expression of love and celebration for their favorite star would escalate into such a significant issue.
The incident highlights the deep admiration and almost worship-like reverence that fans hold for their favorite actors. While 'milk abhishekham' has become a common occurrence for the biggest stars, it also underscores the need for fans to express their devotion responsibly and peacefully, without resorting to actions that cause damage to public property.
As the incident draws attention and sparks discussions on the intense fandom culture surrounding superstars, it also serves as a reminder for fans to celebrate their idols in a manner that does not disrupt public order and respects the sanctity of shared spaces.
