Telugu film producer Venkat passes away; Ravi Teja, Surender Reddy pay condolences on Twitter

Telugu film producer Venkat Phanindra Reddy, popular for producing films like Kick, Samanyudu, Lovely, Hungama and many more, breathed his last on Monday. Venkat was 57 and was undergoing medical treatment for kidney-related ailment in Hyderabad.

The South film industry took to Twitter to mourn the demise of the renowned filmmaker. Actor Ravi Teja tweeted, "Really sad to hear about R.R Venkat garu's passing away. One of the best producers I've worked with. Heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones."

Director Surender Reddy had worked with Venkat during Kick wrote, "Extremely saddened to hear about the demise of senior producer #RRVenkat Garu. My deepest condolences to the family."

"Rest in peace #RRVenkat Garu.. my debut film Don Seenu producer.. very passionate film maker, encouraged me a lot.. my deepest condolences to his family. Heart breaking," tweeted director Gopichand Malineni.

Director Sreenu Vaitla called hinm a man of ‘guts and ambition', and wrote, "Sad to know about RR Venkat garu's demise. Met him a couple of times and found him to be very passionate about movies. He was a man of guts and ambition. Praying for the strength to his family."

For the uninitiated, RR Venkat produced several Telugu superhits under the banner RR Movie Makers banner viz Samanyudu, Andhrawala, Kick, Dhamarukam, Mirapakay, Autonagar Surya, Poola Rangadu, Bahumathi, Gundamma Gaari Manavadu, Don Seenu, Lovely and Humgama among others.
