From auditioning for Indian idol to winning hearts as Akshara on Indian TV, looking at Hina Khan's journey

Hina Khan is among the most popular television actress in India she started her journey with Star Plus's TV show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' which gave her fame and recognition. She went on to do films and also made the country proud. Here's taking a look at her glorious journey so far:

Hina Khan

Hina Khan was born on October 2, 1987 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir

Back in 2008, Hina Khan first auditioned for the popular singing reality show 'Indian Idol'. She managed to come in the top 30 before getting eliminated 

During her college days in Delhi, Khan auditioned for the show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' after her friends forced her to do it. She got selected and shifted to Mumbai to make her television debut. She started playing the role of Akshara Singhania, a n ideal daughter-in-law, daughter and wife since 2009. Her character  struck a chord with many and became one of the most loved characters of Indian TV 

After being associated with the how for eight years, Hina quit to explore other opportunities

In 2017, Hina stepped into the world of reality shows as a participant of 'Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi'. She became the first runner-up on the show. In the same year, she also participated in Bigg Boss 11 as celebrity contestant. She got the first runner-up spot on the show. 

After Bigg Boss, Hina appeared in a couple of music videos. In 2018 she also made her digital debut with the short film 'Smartphone'

In October 2018, she bagged the role of Komolika, an antagonist in Kasautii Zindagii Kay however she left the show in April 2019 and got replaced by Aamna Sharif

In the same year, she signed her debut film Lines, opposite actress Farida Jalal, which is directed by Hussain Khan and written by Rahat Kazmi and Shakti Singh

In the following years, she did short films 'Soulmate' and 'Wish List', an Indo-Hollywood' movie called 'The Country of the Blind', and psychological crime drama series 'Damaged 2',  a horror film opposite Kushal Tandon and a cameo appearance in Naagin 5 among others 

In February 2020, Khan made her Bollywood entry with the film Hacked, with director Vikram Bhatt, alongside Sid Makkar

In October 2020, Khan returned to Bigg Boss in its fourteenth season as a toofani senior along with Gauahar Khan and Sidharth Shukla for the first three weeks

In 2021, Khan appeared in the music videos like 'Patthar Wargi', 'Baarish Ban Jana' and 'Main bhi Barbaad' 

In March 2022, she announced her next web series titled "Seven One" where she's playing a cop. In 2024, she made her Tollywood debut in "Shinda Shinda No Papa" opposite Gippy Grewal
