Dating These Days/PR image
Sayani Gupta and Bani J who starred together in 'Four More Shots Please' are reuniting for 'Dating These Days' where they are among the celebrities who speak about dating truths in India. In a conversation with mid-day.com, Sayani discusses dating red flags, romance and marriage.
Tell us about Bumble's 'Dating These Days.' How was your experience?
I like my association with the brand so, when they called me for Dating These Days, I was quite excited. I shot this episode with Bani, who was my co-actor in Four More Shots Please as well, and it was great to be talking to each other not just as co-actors but also as friends, getting to know things about each other, discovering our preferences, where we come from, our relationships, how we look at relationships, etc. So, it was a great shoot and I honestly loved it!
What are the red flags when it comes to dating for you?
Dating red flags would be lying, someone who is full of himself, someone who is rude to people, someone who is not kind and someone who is not politically aware.
Your thoughts about Bollywood romance growing up v/s now?
I think now it's become much more modern and a little more real. Bollywood romance has actually given us some big ideas, but romance doesn't really happen like that. Although I am a big Shah Rukh Khan fan and I love his films, the way he romances on screen, and I obviously hoped that I would get a man who romances me like that, but that never happens.

What would your dream romance and wedding involve?
It's funny that now I have realised I don't really want a marriage, but I want wedding, because I want to wear nice clothes and have a great time with my friends, family and people who I love and who love me, and I am trying to see how we can get that to happen. I also have an idea of the clothes I'll wear, and I want great music around, great food and lots of flowers at a beautiful locale where people can just have fun and a joyful time with dance, music, food and lots of laughter. That will be my idea.
