On the heels of Coldplay's whirlwind India performances, Ed Sheeran started his six-city Mathematics tour in Pune on January 30. The concert was opened by indie musician Aditi Sehgal, popularly known by her stage name, Dot., as she performed her music warming up the crowd for the main act.

Wearing a t-shirt with 'Pune', a signature theme for this visit, Ed played some of his most popular hits. Incidentally, it was his first time in the city, as has mostly come to neighbouring city, Mumbai.

After Pune, Ed performed in Hyderabad at Ramoji Film City for a lively crowd present at the concert, produced by AEG Presents Asia and BookMyShow Live.

While Dot was the opening act in Pune, Indian singer Armaan Malik set the stage on fire in the southern city with his hits including 'Butta Bomma'. It wasn't long before Armaan and Ed sang '2Step' together, showcasing their musical collaboration skills.

After wonderful performances by Dot and Armaan Malik, Ed headed to Chennai for his debut performance in the city on February 5 at YMCA Grounds. Being the home of AR Rahman, Ed surprised the fans by calling the celebrated Indian singer on stage as they sang a mashup of 'Shape of You' and 'Urvasi'. While he did perform his hits, this performance completely left fans awe-struck.

If Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai were anything to by, the Bengaluru was no different as he totally played his heart out across two days on February 8 and 9. Indian singer Maalvika Manoj, popularly known as Mali, opened for the British singer before he performed his favourites like 'A-Team' and 'Perfect'.

However, things didn't go down well with Bengaluru police, when he performed on the streets. While the singer says he had taken the necessary permissions, the officials stopped him while he was busking in Church Street, leaving many fans shocked.

It has been a dream tour not only for Ed but also the Indian performers who have had the opportunity to take the stage with him. After Mali, it was Indian music producer and DJ Kayan who took to the stage in Shillon on February 12 to perform her popular tracks. Sporting a t-shirt with 'Shillong' on it, Ed made his debut in Shillong and it mesmerised fans immediately.

The singer-songwriter's tour ends in Delhi tonight but not without creating thousands of memories with Indian fans.
