Bal Thackeray's condition improving

The condition of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, undergoing treatment for fever and weakness at Lilavati Hospital here, is stable, doctors attending on him said on Saturday.


The condition of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, undergoing treatment for fever and weakness at Lilavati Hospital here, is stable, doctors attending on him said on Saturday.

"Thackeray's condition is stable and improving considerably. He is likely to be discharged after three or four days," doctors said.

The 82-year-old leader was admitted to the hospital in suburban Bandra on Thursday after he complained of weakness and fever.

Thackeray has been kept in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the sixth floor of the hospital and been advised complete rest.

No visitors are allowed on the floor to meet Thackeray, who is being guarded by his personal body guards.
