Sena union meets airport director; oppose AAI transfers

A delegation of the Shiv Sena union on Monday met the city airport director to protest the transfer of Airport Authority of India (AAI) employees.

The delegation was accompanied by about 500 supporters of the union which was protesting the transfer of about 2,500 AAI employees. The union demanded that the transfer of AAI employees, mostly of Grade IV class, should not be implemented until June 15.

Sena leaders Anand Adsul and Vinayak Raut were among those present in the delegation.

MNS activists are also expected to meet the airport director in connection with the issue, party officials said.
