A fire was reported early on Thursday morning in the Chembur area of the city. The Mumbai Fire Brigade officials confirming the fire said that the incident happened behind Smoke Hill Saloon near a golf club on the CG Gidwani Road in Chembur.
According to the officials, the fire was caused by an LPG cylinder blast. The MFB officials said that three to four persons were injured in the incident that happened around 7.37 am.
MFB officials added that the fire was confined to electric wiring and wooden furniture on the ground plus one storey structure. They said the fire was extinguished promptly by 8.08 am.
The officials added that those who sustained injuries were transported to Govandi Shatabdi Hospital. The current condition of the injured persons is yet to be confirmed.
