The Powai police in Mumbai apprehended a 25-year-old individual on September 25 for allegedly employing an illicit electronic device during a government Agriculture exam in Powai.
According to the police, the accused utilised a deceptive device resembling a debit card, equipped with a SIM card and a battery. Additionally, the accused employed a discreet Bluetooth earpiece measuring just half an inch in size, carefully matched to the color of his skin.
The individual at the center of this case is identified as Ramkishan Datu Bedke (25), a resident of Aurangabad. Bedke was apprehended for cheating during the written exam for the positions of Assistant Superintendent and Senior Clerk, held at the Aurum IT Park in Powai. The examination drew thousands of candidates from various states on September 25, including Bedke. The exam took place on the 3rd floor and was scheduled from 8:30 AM to 10 AM. An FIR was registered by Dipak Kute, Agricultural Superintendent, an official said.
A police officer said, "Suspicion arose when the exam supervisor, Dheeraj from the Agriculture department, noticed something unusual on Bedke's shoulder. The case is under investigation as authorities work to uncover any potential connections or accomplices involved in this cheating attempt during the government Agriculture exam.
