A fire broke out in an electric meter box in the meter room of a four-storey building in Thane on Wednesday, said officials.
According to the officials, no injuries were reported due to the blaze.
The information about the incident was received by the Disaster Management Unit at around 5:43 pm.
The incident occurred at Kisan Nagar No.01, Wagle Estate, in Thane (W.)

"A meter box in the meter room on the ground floor of Pushpanjali Building had caught fire. Mahavitaran staff, fire brigade personnel along with 01-rescue vehicle were present at the said spot. No one was injured at the scene," the official said.
"The fire at the meter box at the said spot was completely extinguished by the fire brigade personnel around 6:10 pm and the situation is under control," added the official.
