The incident occurred around 4.30 am in an industrial pocket of Badlapur area

Three tempos parked outside the chemical company were completely engulfed in flames within minutes of the fire's outbreak, an official said

The incident was reported at VK Chemical Company in Kharvai MIDC of Badlapur on Thursday morning, according to fire officials

Five workers were injured during the fire, and they were shifted to a nearby hospital, the officials said

Among the injured, four were from the VK Chemical Company. One worker tragically lost his life, the officials said

Bhagwat Sonawane, a fire official at the scene said, "The fire control room received a call at 4:30 am about the fire. Within 15 minutes, we reached the spot and found there were huge blasts and flames

Two companies adjoining the VK Chemical Company were also affected due to the fire, an official said
