Away from politics, the Deputy CM was seen in a relaxed mood, enjoying the festivities

Shinde's wife Lata, son Shrikant, and daughter-in-law Vrushali, also joined in the festivities at their Thane home

The Deputy CM has appealed to citizens to use eco-friendly colours to celebrate Holi  

Shinde with son, Dr Shrikant, who is a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from Kalyan

The Deputy CM also smeared the Holi colours on the faces of his staff members

Shinde was seen playfully spraying a water gun at a staff member during the celebrations

"Holi is being celebrated with great enthusiasm... We have been showering happiness for the last two and a half years in Maharashtra. Devendra Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar, and I are working to make the state happier. I extend my best wishes to PM Modi and HM Amit Shah; I have also extended my greetings to them on the phone...", Shinde said while speaking to reporters
