The CBI had not even opposed this time but the court rejected the plea of all accusedContrary to what the accused in the 2G spectrum scam had hoped, the Delhi court dismissed bail pleas of all of them on Thursday. Most disappointed by the rejection was DMK MP M.K. Kanimozhi, who seemed to be in a cheerful mood when she arrived in the court. After her plea was rejected, however, the usually composed MP was seen crying and hugging her mother. Soon she lost all her cool and asked journalists to leave her alone.

Apart from her husband, son and mother, DMK leaders T R Baalu, T K S Elangovan, Durai Murugan, Vasanthi Stalin, actor Khushboo and supporters had gathered inside the courtroom.
Her supporters, dressed in complete white, surrounded her and the family in an expression of solidarity. Kanimozhi's husband G Aravindan seemed shocked and furious over the verdict. Other relatives vocally criticised the legal system. Interestingly, the CBI had not opposes the bail plea this time.
Day of rejectionsThe bail of Cineyug Films' founder Karim Morani, co-conspirator in the 2G spectrum allocation case, was also rejected. His daughter Zoya Morani, who debuted in Shahrukh Khan's Always Kabhie Kabhie, sat crying next to her father. Later, on instructions of the accused and their families, lawyers and the court staff asked the media persons and DMK supporters to leave the courtroom. There were similar reports from Tihar Jail too, wherein Kanimozhi kept to herself and didn't talk to anyone after reaching there. She seemed upset and preferred to be left alone.u00a0
