The incident was confirmed by additional CP (south-east) Ajay Chaudhary. The police were reported about the incident around 12.30 pm. "Rohit and his mother Darshan Wadhwa were on their way to a clinic when then two persons came on a bike and tried to snatch Darshan's chain.
"They couldn't succeed and tried to flee. She then raised an alarm following which Rohit began chasing the goons. He sought help from a person going on a bike. Around 300 metres ahead, he caught hold of the snatcher riding the pillion. The other accused whipped out a gun and shot at Rohit," said a police officer.
"Rohit was then immediately rushed to the Holy Family Hospital where he was admitted. He is out of danger. We have registered a case of attempt to murder against the unknown assailants and further investigation is on," he added.
