The police succeeded in preventing the activists from causing extensive damage and arrested some of them for perpetrating violence.
Speaking to mediapersons, Ramdev said "The chairperson of Congress party, respected Sonia Gandhi, I want to tell her that India has democracy where one cannot tolerate hooliganism. About eight to ten big stones were thrown at the car in which I arrived."
After being told by the reporters that the activists were the supporters of Congress leader Digvijay Singh, Ramdev retorted by saying that he had never said anything ill about him.
"From the last one year, I have not taken the name of Digvijay Singh even once. But he kept on giving strange statements, that Babaji is a big fraud, he should be tied to a rock and thrown in the sea. I have never used such language," he said.
Ramdev is poised for a joint movement along with anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare against corruption, which they are scheduled to start from August 9 onwards.
