Suspects want to know why Dr Malini was dismissed in the hope that their narco tests are nullified
The Forensic Science Laboratory has received 30 Right to Information applications after Dr Malini's dismissal, from suspects who underwent the narco test.
FSL director Dr L Mohan said they were now waiting to get the DGP's permission to go ahead with the formalities.
Majority of the applications have come from suspects in jail through the advocates. The RTI applicants want to know on what ground Dr Malini was dismissed from her post in the hope that the information disproves their narco report and weakens their case, sources said.
"This is a dangerous development. We feared this would happen and it's become a reality now," the sources added.
Fifteen of the applicants are suspects in the Mumbai train blast five each from Kashmir and Nagpur.u00a0 All the suspects had spilled the beans during the narcoanalysis and were chargesheeted based on theiru00a0 revelations, FSL sources said.
Some of the applicants include Syed Ansari and Sajid, accused in the Mumbai terror attack, and Arun Ferrera, a Naxal leader involved in killing several police personnel and organising fund-raising programmes for Naxal activities.
