AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi was in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh`s Meerut for campaigning on Thursday
Member of Parliament and President of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), Asaduddin Owaisi has turned down âZ' category CRPF security provided to him after shots were fired at his convoy in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.
"I don't fear deathâ¦I don't want âZ' category security, make me an âA' category citizen," news agency ANI quoted him saying.

He also appealed to the government to end "radicalization" and demanded the shooters be charged with UAPA.
The Government of India, after reviewing the level of threat, had provided him âZ' security after 3-4 rounds of bullets were fired at his convoy when he was leaving Meerut's Kithoudh area for Delhi after poll campaigning.
Two men have been in connection with the cases and have been remanded in 14-day judicial custody.
