The Jamfal Dam project is being implemented through the captive tube-well distribution system under Sulwade-Jamfal-Kanoli Upsa Irrigation Scheme

Devendra Fadnavis, who was then the CM of Maharashtra, had said the Sulwade Jamphal Kanoli Lift Irrigation Scheme was approved by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the wake of the drought situation in Maharashtra

The project, worth around Rs 2,100 crore, will bring water from Tapi river and supply linked dams, ponds and canals, and is likely to benefit 1 lakh farmers

The water supply scheme aims to provide safe drinking water to the locals of Dhule region

In 2019, PM Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of the Sulwade Jamphal Kanoli Lift Irrigation Scheme in Dhule. The scheme sets to benefit around 100 villages in Dhule district
