A political controversy erupted over Union Home Minister Amit Shah`s remarks about BR Ambedkar during his speech in the Rajya Sabha. The Congress accused Shah of insulting Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution, while the BJP claimed that the Opposition was using edited videos to spread misinformation. This morning, Opposition MPs raised slogans and held photos of Ambedkar in Parliament, demanding an apology from the Home Minister. In his speech, Shah had said that mentioning Ambedkar`s name repeatedly had become a "fashion." He added, "If people took God`s name as often as Ambedkar`s, they would earn a place in heaven.
