BJP MP Sambit Patra attacked Congress over the removal of Jawaharlal Nehru`s letters to national and international leaders from a museum. He claimed that Nehru`s letters, including those to Edwina Mountbatten and JP Narayan, were initially displayed in the memorial. However, in 2008, when Sonia Gandhi was UPA chairperson, she took away 51 cartons of these letters. Patra questioned why Sonia Gandhi took the letters before they could be digitized in 2010. He also asked if Rahul Gandhi, as the Leader of Opposition, would ask his mother to return these letters to the nation. He emphasized that the public wants to know the contents of these letters, especially those to Edwina Mountbatten.
