These idlis in Nagpur are not white and netizens have a problem

After ‘fire pani puri' another bizarre food ‘experiment' has come to the fore. In a video which recently went viral, a man can be seen serving black idlis on a plate and well, it wasn't that appetizing for the Internet.

The video was posted on Instagram by Vivek and Ayesha, food bloggers from Nagpur. The clip started with a man ladling the grayish-black idli batter on a steamer plate. He then left the idlis to cook and served them on a plate later. Next, he poured some ghee over the cooked idlis and sprinkled milagai podi powder on top. The man then added more ghee over the idlis and served them with coconut chutney.

As per the post's caption, the black idlis are available at a place called All About Idli on Walker's Street, Nagpur.

"Black Idli. It's a detox idli. Not for pregnant ladies," added the caption. The video garnered over 1 million views and netizens were not pleased.

"Why, why, why", posted one

"Bro, please stop harassing idli," another user said.

"It looks like a metal scrub," commented an Instagram user.
