A natural gas pipeline exploded in southwest Moscow early Sunday, sending flames up to 300 meters in the air, the emergencies ministry said.
At least five people were treated for burns, an official said adding that the fire was visible for many kilometers but no damage was caused to the residential buildings.
Twenty-five firefighting teams had been sent to the site.
The pipeline exploded shortly after the Victory Day celebrations that included a massive fireworks show.
