Pakistan authorities have arrested at least six suspected militants here in connection with the recent terror attacks in Lahore and Peshawar.
The intelligence and security agencies picked up four persons from a private hospital from the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of the southern city last night in wounded condition, police sources said. "The agencies raided the hospital on information they extracted from two militants earlier arrested from a house near the super highway," a source said.
He said large number of explosives and weapons were recovered from the house where the two militants were holed up. "The two militants belong to the Amjad Farooqi group which has close links with Al-Qaeda," the source said.
He said the agencies raided the private hospital and arrested the four men who were getting treatment for gunshot wounds and shifted them to an unknown location for interrogation.
