Harshwardhan Barmukh of IES New English, Bandra hit a century to help his team post 263-6 in 72 overs against RR Education Trust on the opening day of the two-day U-14 Giles Shield semi-finals at MIG CC in Bandra East on Tuesday.
Harshwardhan (111) took 74 balls to complete his ton. Shreyas Khilare missed his the century by seven runs. Harshwardhan and Shreyas added 166 for the third wicket in just 162 balls.
In the other semi-final, played at the Parsee Gymkhana, a century from Akash Mangde helped Al Barkaat MMI post 377 against Swami Vivekanand International School.

Akash cracked 26 boundaries in 149 balls and was well supported by Agney Aadi, who missed out on a century by two runs. They put 196 runs for the third wicket in 211 balls across 130 minutes. SVIS's left-arm spinner Arnav Lad claimed six wickets for 101.
