The players will showcase their commitment to the fight against cancer during their final home game on May 13, 2024. This gesture will serve as a reminder of the importance of early detection and access to quality care for improving outcomes in patients with cancer

Captain Shubman Gill donning the lavendar jersey opened up ahead of the initiative. He said, "As sportspersons, we are aware of our social responsibility to our fans and the community at large. Wearing these lavender jerseys unites us with cancer fighters and honours their courage. Together, we hope that our efforts will contribute to a world where the burden of cancer can be overcome through awareness and education"

The initiative during the IPL 2024 match against Kolkata Knight Riders will help fans gain knowledge about the prevention, early detection and emphasise the importance of a healthy lifestyle

In-form batsman Sai Sudharsan also donned the jersey. In IPL 2024, he is having a great run, scoring 424 runs in 11 matches. Sudharsan's highest score in the ongoing league is of unbeaten 84 runs

Rashid Khan has been a standout performer for Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2024. He has been seen contributing with the bat as well as with the ball. Khan has also provided GT with the finishing touches in the ongoing edition of the cash-rich league
