Sri Lanka's Muthiah Muralitharan tops the list with 800 wickets in the longest format of the game. The legendary spinner represented Sri Lanka in 133 Test matches. He has 67 five-wicket and 22 10-wicket hauls to his name

Australia's late Shane Warne comes second on the list of the most wicket-takers in Test cricket. Having played 145 tests for Australia, the former spinner claimed 708 wickets. He also has 37 five-wicket and 10 ten-wicket hauls registered under his name

England's star pacer James Anderson retired from international after playing his last test match against West Indies at the Lord's Cricket Ground. The veteran finished his career as the third-highest wicket-taker on the list. Having featured in 188 tests, he bagged 704 wickets and is also the only fast bowler to attain this feat

Former Indian spinner Anil Kumble holds the fourth place on the list. He represented India in 132 tests and has 619 wickets to his name. His career ended with 35 five-wicket and eight 10-wicket hauls

England's Stuart Broad is the fifth-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket. Broad made 167 Test appearances in which he bagged 604 wickets. With this, he also has 20 five-wicket and three 10-wicket hauls
