Uncle's Kitchen United defended their Mount Carmel rink hockey title, beating Champions Training Centre (CTC) 2-1 in the final at Bandra on Wednesday.
CTC's Tejas Chavan opened the scoring before UK's Aniket Gurav made it 1-1. Amit Gowda, who held the defence brilliantly alongside Tyron Pereira, then converted a penalty stroke as UK emerged champions.

Gowda was adjudged man of the tournament while Pereira was named player of the final. UK United received a cash award of R25,000 from chief guest and hockey legend Dhanraj Pillay. CTC were richer by Rs 15,000.
