Today is the 39th birth anniversary of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Born on January 21, 1986, Sushant allegedly died by suicide in 2020.
The late actor might have left this world early but his fans continue to remember him because of the strong character he played in his films.
In M.S Dhoni-The Untold Story, Sushant played the titular role of the ace cricketer. It was directed by Neeraj Pandey.
Sushant made his Bollywood debut with `Kai Po Che!` in 2013. The movie was based on Chetan Bhagat`s novel `3 Mistakes of My Life`.
Sushant`s 2018 film ‘Kedarnath’ with Sara Ali Khan was based on the 2013 Uttarakhand floods that devastated the region.
`Chhichhore` was Sushant`s last film which was released in theatres while he was alive. It won the National Award for Best Hindi Film.
`Sonchiriya`, was a slow-burning thriller, based on the life of the dacoits of the Chambal district. It had an ensemble cast.
Sushant`s final film `Dil Bechara` with Sanjana Sanghi, was a touching adaption of Jonh Green`s novel `The Fault in Our Stars`.
‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’ directed by Dibakar Banerjee, was based on the fictional detective created by the Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay.
