Republic Day 2025: Important rules to keep in mind while hoisting Flag

Republic Day is a special occasion for every Indian as it marks the adoption of our Constitution. On January 26, 1950, our Constitution came into effect, and India officially became a Republic. This day signifies India’s transition from a British Dominion to a fully independent and sovereign republic, with its own system of governance. This year, we will celebrate the 76th Republic Day. One of the most significant traditions of Republic Day celebrations is the hoisting of the national flag. The Indian flag is more than just a piece of cloth. It represents our unity, freedom, and the strength of our nation. To show it the respect it deserves, we need to follow certain guidelines and when displaying it. These rules are outlined in the Flag Code of India, which was introduced in 2002 and updated in 2021 and 2022. So, if you are hoisting the flag this Republic Day, please keep in mind the following rules to ensure it is displayed with the utmost respect.... [Read More]

Vijay Diwas 2024: The Story of courage, sacrifice, and creation of Bangladesh

December 16th — a day that marks the triumph of courage, unity, and freedom. It’s not just another day on the calendar. It’s a day of remembrance, a day we call Vijay Diwas. Vijay Diwas, or Victory Day, is celebrated across India to honor a historic victory — the India-Pakistan war of 1971, which led to the creation of Bangladesh. But the story goes much deeper than just a military victory. Let’s travel back to 1971, a time when the world was divided by the tensions of the Cold War. Meanwhile, India was facing a critical situation to the east. The situation between East Pakistan which is now Bangladesh and West Pakistan which is now Pakistan, had reached a breaking point By 1971,  In East Pakistan, people were struggling for independence. The Bengali population had been demanding their rights and a fair share of power for years. East Pakistan, which geographically was far from the capital, Islamabad, felt politically and economically neglected by the central government in West Pakistan. On the occasion of Vijay Diwas 2024, watch the video to know the full story of India-Pakistan 1971 war.... [Read More]
