Today we get in touch with one of the most inspiring personalities from this industry. She is bold, fierce and so confident that we were in complete awe as we spoke to her for the first time.

She is one the first female to enter into the cement industry without any support or connections, she definitely gives a good fight to her counterparts. We start our today’s interview Ms Akriti Verma, the founder of AKV Wall Putty, joins us to discuss her journey and future plans.

Ms Verma, is from Bihar, she has established herself in the corporate world. She earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Delhi University and a master's degree in business administration from Singapore University. After she finished her MBA, she founded Renaissance Industries Pvt Ltd.

In the year 2018, AKV Wall Putty was born. For a while, India's real estate investment sector, and hence allied businesses, thrived. Akriti had planned to save for two years after earning her MBA when she established AKV Wall Putty.

To begin with, nothing had been thrown at her on a silver platter. A slew of roadblocks and difficulties arose. While constructing the production unit in 2019, Akriti lost a very strong pillar of strength, her biggest motivation, her mother. After my mother died unexpectedly, Akriti was unhappy and despondent for months. She was unable to make a substantial contribution to either my personal or professional lives. As she lost my soul, her body and mind seemed to stop operating.

Despite the unimaginable loss, as it is stated life must move on, . Moving on to other considerations, there was a male-dominated sector, big-name corporations that were the flagbearer, and Akriti still struggles to make a mark in this market and gain attention, if she had to say so.

She is committed to making a welcome and secure environment for women as part of the journey ahead. Strongly believing in the empowerment of Bihar's women and working to ensure that future generations would be better off than current generations. The firm aspires to become the leading manufacturer of paints and colours in the next five years, based on strong management and demonstrable results.

We also queried her about the accolades she'd added to the kitty thus far, and she answered "I haven't gotten far enough to have a lengthy number of achievements; I started early, the path is longer, and I still have a long way to go. One of the few honours I earned was for being a woman and fighting hard against my opponents. Second, I've recently won a number of honours, including the Young Achievers Award, the Best Business Woman Award in 2021, the Most Impactful Business Leader Award, and the Nari Shakti Award. My firm is also contemplating an expansion in Delhi ncr, and I intend to hire solely women for this. We also have ambitions to expand in the paints sector this year.”

She chatted with us post our interview, we got to know the other side of the focused and fierce girl. Akriti is an eager traveller with a great ambition to explore the world, having visited roughly 26 countries so far. She swears by two hobbies or routines: a nutritious diet and exercise; a healthy body keeps the mind occupied at all times.
