Anees Bazmee's classic comedy, No Entry, completed 18 years on Saturday. Starring Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta, Celina Jaitley, Esha Deol and Boman Irani, it was produced by Boney Kapoor. The film was a hit at the box office. No Entry pulled off a casting coup by roping in some of the biggest names of that time.

However, did you know Saif Ali Khan was the first choice to play the lead role of Kishan Singhania? It later went to Anil Kapoor. Reportedly, Saif was offered the part when he was shooting for Kal Ho Naa Ho, but he declined. Anil, whose films struggled at the box office in the early 2000s, delivered a much-awaited successful film with No Entry

Anil played the role of Kishan, a rich businessman. His wife is always suspicious of him and believes he has an extramarital affair. Kishan is a faithful husband. On the other hand, his friend Prem has multiple affairs despite being married to Pooja. Their friend Shekhar falls in love with Sanjana. The story revolves around how Prem teaches his friends to lead a lifestyle like his and how to lie to their wives to keep their affairs hidden.

On Saturday, Anil shared stills during the shooting of the film featuring his co-stars including Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu and Lara Dutta on his Instagram story. Sharing the video, he wrote, “Celebrating 18 years of #NoEntry! A timeless comedy! Here’s to the amazing memories!” Re-sharing Anil’s post, Lara Dutt wrote, “We’re finally adulting now! Such a blast this was!!”

Released in the year 2005, No Entry was an official Hindi remake of the Tamil film Charlie Chaplin. Reportedly, producer Boney was in debt during the release of the film. Due to this, the makers had decided to hold it and the bookings were also postponed. Salman came to Boney's rescue and No Entry earned much more than he invested.

Its sequel is said to be in the making. In 2021, Salman hinted at it on his birthday. As of now, there's no further development on No Entry's sequel.
