LOL. Not quite the reaction that comes to mind after watching a horror flick, but if I could sum this film up in one word, that oft-used acronym would be it.
Shutter shutters back and forth through the somewhat eventful life ofu00a0 hotshot fashion photog Avi (Talpade).
Photog has a live-in model gal pal (Sadaa) for company. It's a dandy life. Until one foggy night, after a late party they accidentally run over a girl who conveniently happens to be crossing the same lonely road. Sonia's driving, so Avi does the gentlemanly thing. He leaves the accident victim to her sorry fate and someone else's mercy and make a run for it.
And before you start screaming, "I know what you did", remember this is still a photog's tale.
Our hero (the term gets more ironic by the day) and his girlfriend starts seeing foggy patches in developed prints of his pictures. Whozzat? Well, you'll have to watch this one right till the very end to figure that one out. Or maybe not, we could put you out of your misery.... (thinks) Naah... not in the mood today.
Thereafter, cliched sound effects, blood and a poltergeist-y presence grates on your nerves.
More bleh follows with a flashback into Avi's colourful college life, visits to a shrink/medium (quite clunky in this one, Chunky) and somesuch.
Surprisingly, Sangeeth, who does wonderful things with the shadows and silhouettes in all his photographs, does not emulate the same passion in this film. If he had, this film would have been much better for it.
Shreyas and Sadaa are passable performers, not helped in the least by the corny script, noisy background score and forgettable music.
To be fair, the film does end on a decent enough note. The sad part is that you'll have to endure the film to the very end for that.
You, however, will be happier that it ended.
