Deepika Padukone is back from Abu Dhabi where she attended the Grand Prix over the weekend.

The actress states that it was the first time she was watching Formula One action live. "I have now become addictive to the sport. I am sure that I will be attending more of such events in the future."

She was specially invited by Vijay Mallya whose Force India team was participating in the Grand Prix. "Vijay is a friend and I am sure that knowing how interested I am in Formula One, he will invite me for other such events."

She interacted not only with the Force India drivers Adrain Sutil and Vitantonio Liuzzi but also the other international teams. "You equate Ferraris with races and here I was, watching the vehicles in action."

It was also the Om Shanti Om girl's first visit to Abu Dhabi. "It is amazing what they have done in the UAE capital. They have reclaimed land to create the Yas Marina circuit for F1 enthusiasts. In fact, the racing track goes right through the Yas Hotel lobby! There is also a Ferrari centre, a great place to be for any Grand Prix enthusiast."

Though there were also performances by Beyonce and Aerosmith as part of the Abu Dhabi GP weekend, the actress did not attend as she flew in only on the day of the big event.

Jab Dil Hi Toot Gaya...
B-Town buzz was that Deepika Padukone had gone off to Abu Dhabi to nurse a broke heart. The actress however does not want to say anything about her split with Ranbir Kapoor. She says, "Everyday I wake up to read and hear something about it! They can keep on doing their job."
