Indian Idol 4 contestants Sourabhee, Kapil, Bhavya, Remo, Bhanu, Torsha and Rajdeep take a break from their hectic schedules to unwind and celebrate 'Sankranti' at Juhu beach. The kids were an enthusiastic lot and interacted with junta who requested them to sing... they even indulged in gol-gappas, nariyal paani and some chat! Hope their vocal cords weren't hit too bad.

TZP didn't make it!

Don't be surprised if Aamir throws another Ghajini celebratory party this weekend. Now that Taare Zameen Par is out of the Oscar race, the actor must need something to feel better. The Academy shortlisted nine films in the best foreign film category yesterday. TZP failed to secure a place in this bracket. Knowing how much Aamir was looking forward to an Oscar nod; he must be disappointed for sure.

Hogging the limelight?

Slumdog Millionaire's nomination to the Oscars has come as no surprise to anyone. Shruti Seth who has a small but meaningful role in the movie is thrilled to bits with the movie's success. Adhyayan Suman, who turned 21 on Tuesday, held a bash at the Piano Bar at Khar. His parents Shekhar and Alka Suman were by his side apart from his lady love Kangna Ranaut. The Raaz 2 team turned up in full force to wish the birthday boy which included Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt, Emraan Hashmi among others. Monica Bedi was also there. Wonder what her connection with the Suman boy is?

Sa Re Ga Ma launched its new album Caravan-e-Ghazal at St Andrew's auditorium on Tuesday with a performance by Talat Aziz. Several B-Town folk turned up. Ranjeet landed up in Middle Eastern attire including the head gear. Either he is just back from a trip somewhere in the Gulf and looooved the outfit so much that he carried it along or perhaps he has taken a cue from Deepak Parashar who, too, loves to dress up in similar robes. So that makes Ranjeet the Nightiewala Baba No 2.
